Peter Max’s Studio Event last night was awesome
Over the last couple of years, Slice has been one of the food sponsor’s for “Coalition For Healthy School Lunches” at Peter Max’s studio. For those of you who don’t know who Peter Max is, he is the originator of “Cosmic 60’s Art”, a creative display of colors, lines and symbols on canvas. He became close friends with The Beatles and was their inspiration to the album cover of “Yellow Submarine”. He sold millions of his unique posters in the 60’s and 70’s to students and people all over the world. To read more about him, go to PeterMax.com.
The event at Peter Max’s studio for “Coalition For Healthy School Lunches” is always a hit. The top vegan restaurants donated time and food to the event, wine was flowing and funky live music was playing with Peter’s colorful art displayed on the walls.
Everyone absolutely LOVED our vegan pizzas with Daiya vegan cheese (thanks Bob and Julia for the help!) so the night was a success!
At the end of the event, Peter handed me one of his posters, wrote a note on it, signed it, drew an original drawing on it and gave it to me!
Awesome.
