This summer has been quite an interesting one for me. Between the World Cup in South Africa (endless stories, some involving Kobe Bryant, some involving Lakshmi Mittal, some involving rondoval huts with no heat and no hot water and the most electrifying shooting stars on the planet), to moving into my own place (love it), to now about to sign a lease for a third 125 seat restaurant at Cornell University, in the heart of College town (formerly “The Chariot”), the word “adventure” certainly comes to mind.

We are about to take on a new great challenge as a business. We are working at figuring out how to bring the brand together cohesively without it feeling like a “Chain”, now that we will be 3 restaurants strong (perhaps a fourth in Seattle, and a fifth in LA, more to come on that) which is always a challenging thing to do.

Between Nina, our fab WV GM and overall GM and Daniel, our new UES GM, who is also a great chef, we are working to come up with a new creative menu consisting of both our signature items as well as new signature salads and appetizers, and to bring the brand together as a whole.
